Anneke van Aalten (DVM, MRCVS) owns the practice and can normally be found here, whether consulting or in surgery. Although Anneke loves puppies and kittens she is passionate about caring for older animals. She finds it a real challenge to keep them fit, healthy and above all happy for as long as possible.
Athina graduated from the University of Thessaly (Greece) in 2009. After having worked for many years in small and large animal clinics in Greece she moved to England and joined our practice in July 2015. She is very good at keeping the team motivated with a steady stream of sweet treats. Nothing encourages enthusiasm in the workplace quite like a piece of cake.
Jess S (BVetMed MRCVS) graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in July 2019. After graduating she was raring to get to work. She decided that a small family Veterinary Practice was the place for her and decided to join our lovely group that August!
David graduated from Edinburgh University in 2005 and has spent time working within the PDSA. In 2010 he started Consulting work for Veterinary Instrumentation, and has been a permanent member of staff with them since 2011. His role is Product Development Manager at Veterinary Instrumentation, in which he helps design and develop a sizeable quantity of the world's new veterinary implants and instruments.
Sam (BVM BVS, MRCVS) graduated from the University of Nottingham in July of 2020. After graduating he got started straight away with working in a Veterinary Practice in Worksop. Before graduating Sam had done lots of work experience with us at Broomhill Vets so just a year later in July of 2021 Sam realised he could stay away from us no longer and decided to join the team.
Helen qualified in 2018. Before becoming a veterinary nurse, Helen worked as a primary school teacher and as a microbiologist.
Jess qualified in March 2011 at college of Animal Welfare and joined the practice in April 2019. She is yorkshire born and bread and is a proud Sheffielder.
Keeley joined us here at Broomhill Veterinary Practice in September of 2022.
Laura joined us here at Broomhill Veterinary Practice in February of 2024.
Abigail joined us here at Broomhill Veterinary Practice in September of 2020. Before joining us, she volunteered at Mayfield Alpaca Farm, inspiring her love for animals of all shapes and sizes. Since September 2021 she has been working towards her Veterinary Nursing Qualification at the College of Animal Welfare in Leeds, and is staying with us during that time.
Anna joined the practice in August 2017. She has two lovely cats, Ebony and Tigger and two lovely daughters.
Rosie joined us here at Broomhill Veterinary Practice in March of 2022.
Pauline joined us here at Broomhill Veterinary Practice in January of 2024.
Jasmyn, being the daughter of the vet, has been around veterinary practices since a young age. She joined the team in January 2015 when she decided she wanted to help with the family business
